Looking for a new laptop

My laptop was ever so kind to inform me that it is on its last legs this evening, thus I am in the market for a new laptop. I don't need anything hugely powerful, but if it could run FE that would definitely be a bonus. Getting notebooks can be cheap. Getting one that will run FE maybe not so much. You have to get out of the standard on board GPU and into one with a separate nvidia or ati inside. That will bump the price up usually. That said, here is one that should run it. It is on sale it seems for a little over a 1000.

Now if your looking for something for just writing, then I am going to recommend the new Acer Aspire One which should be coming out this month I believe. It is supposed to be 10 inch screen and advertised at 7 hour battery life. The cost is supposed be between 300 and 400 dollars so it is much more affordable.

If you are looking for a pricey one that will last, I recommend an Alienware M17. However, it is less a laptop and more a portable desktop. But it does have a lot of room for upgrades in the future. Just don't buy the upgrades at the start.

If looking for something more affordable, Dell is a viable option. But again, running Fallen Earth might be difficult - cheap laptops with dedicated video cards are pricier.

Also, check out the Dell Outlet. If you aren't particular about the computer, they usually have some good deals there with all the same warranties as regular new models.
