DC hates happiness.

They won't tell me what is going to happen to my bb Power Girl. :( And Supergirl and Batwoman. GET IT TOGETHER DC

I just think that DC hates my money. I mean, I'm happy to keep it if they don't want it. But what I don't understand is when "cuts" need to be made in the Batfamily, it seems to be the girls who get it worst. Seriously, you can't just take Babs out of the wheelchair like nothing happened. Oracle is such an iconic figure now. And it seems like Steph just got some credibility and was getting her feet under her as Batgirl, only to have that mantle taken from her too :(

And seriously, Supergirl is going to look stupid if they stick her in a pair of pants!

DC seriously doesn't seem to know what they're doing. They obviously are trying to pull in a new fanbase, but they're not guarantee it'll work, and in the process they may (and most likely will) lose a lot of their existing fanbase. They're basically throwing themselves under a bus at this point, especially with their female fans since, as you said, the girls are the ones that are seeming to get fucked over with this.

That's always been my issue with DC. While I've always felt that they had more interesting, stand alone female characters (as opposed to Marvel where the majority are tied to the big teams) DC seems to really lack and desire or ability to connect with their female fanbase, which is strange since they have some of the biggest women in the industry (namely, Gail Simone) writing for them. But despite the growing popularity of comics among mainstream female fanbases, they seen to be continually alienating that demographic. And this year has been especially bad, starting with the disastrous Wonder Woman reboot, and going downhill since.

Jason changes his hair color more frequently that most salon workers I know. I wasn't a big fan of the red, to be quite honest - it just kind of came out of nowhere. And actually his book looks like it has potential - Kory as a POW, Roy has both arms (and maybe his daughter is still alive) and Jason Todd - could be an interesting mix if handled well.

Exactly - they're going to have to work on distinguishing the two boys. Maybe they'll go back to Jason's skunk stripe?

well
dan didio really likes him so i don't doubt he'll still be around
but idk what the timewarp/backstory/etc stuff is going to be doing...

and i'm kinda pissed
all of booster's hard work keeping the time stream all nice and clean down the shitter >:(

and i'm also worried about the jsa

but at least i know johns has a woodie for the lanterns so my space adventures should be marginally safe

Yeah, that totally blows, and I actually just started reading the last few months of the JLI run and they were really good. It's like DC just hates happiness or something...

I am only upset about what they are doing to the Batfamily. Everything else I can deal with.

BUT FUCKIN ORACLE BEING GONE. STEPH HAVING NO MANTLE. TIM IS LIKE NO WHERE AND I AM GETTING SO ANGRY. I HATE DC. THEY ARE BREAKING UP MY FAMILY.

And then this comes to mind...

LOL, oh Boys to 2 Men, so true, so true. And I'm right there with you - I can handle a lot of the other changes (though I'm still not wild about the whole "every woman must wear pants" thing. But the batfamily is breaking my heart - especially since they're eliminating the ones who are my favorite members!

I'm not too concerned about all the females having pants. Probably just trying something different...it'll probably go back to the regular costumes in like a year lol. I just want Tim and Steph to have a place in the batfam still.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of shocked that Tim doesn't have a lineup yet, but I have to believe that that has something to do with the unannounced Teen Titan book. I just can't see DC eliminating a Robin from continuity....well, you know, one that has penis that is ;)

And really, the pants this I just find hysterical because I'm almost certain that it stems from the Wonder Woman debacle. As if wardrobes were really their biggest problems in all of this.

I'm not sure why they think this will help bring in new readers or make them any less confused about their continuity. I want to know who it is that comes up with these lame brain ideas and punch them.

At this point I just want Batwoman. And for them not to fuck up Catwoman #1, which is apparently happening. :p

Also, why the HELL did they start Batman Inc. and then what... five issues in? They're like, oh, wait, I guess we'll just do something TOTALLY DIFFERENT HERP DERP.
