I just found out about this. Like, just now. Seriously. The post yesterday said "tomorrow" is the last day--which would be today--but the original rules post says sign-ups ended yesterday. I have an epic YA/Runaways idea eating my brain and would love an excuse to get it written. Is it too late to sign up? (I'm going to post my sign-up in the list just in case. I'll delete it if it's too late.)

Question: Are OCs okay as side characters? You didn't say anything to the contrary, and the main focus is still the canon characters, but I have these two OCs in the story as it is now who are kind of there and kind of important to the story happening...

Go right ahead! OCs are definitely allowed.

Hey, when I signed up I said I was going to write an AU, but it turned out canon. I hope is not a problem.

Sure, no problem. The signups were just rough ideas, I bet a lot of people have changed their minds.

Whoops, I forgot about the half-way check-point yesterday. Sorry! What do I need to do? I'm well over half-way and am at 10,000 words so there's no problem.

I also forgot about the halfway checkpoint. I have two stories--one of them is about halfway done and well over 10k; the other is one out of five chapters in and about 3-4,000 words done.

Thinking about signing up as an artist... when you say 'illustration' exactly what does that entail? A full comics panel, or a drawing of one or more characters? Do they have to be inked/colored?

The illustration should be a scene from or a piece inspired by your writer's fic. It should be a finished piece, so whatever that means for you is fine - just keep in mind that your writer has spent three months on this story and the art should reflect that effort.
