A Torrid Time

Oct 03, 2024 11:51

On Tuesday morning I went into the bathroom at around 8:15am for the usual procedures when suddenly, and without warning, my nose started to bleed. Gushing out. The nose clips I have proved useless. My neighbour had come round to do the things she does - saw me in complete distress with blood all down my t-shirt and called NHS 111. They sent an ( Read more... )

I am so sorry you went through that sudden, frightening ordeal!

I am hearing stories like this all the time, though.

Wine does thin the blood. And, drinking alcohol, w/o being followed by some days so the body can rest and regenerate, will cause a cumulative deleterious affect on the body. I know from experience.

Not to minimise your horror, but also consider the possibility that nanos and/or microclots might have been building up inside.

You might be able to turn this around w/ serious, regular, targetted detox - and by ditching the WiFi for safer ethernet cable. As I said, I hear this sort of thing a lot. People aren't listening.

I'm so sorry you went through this, Mike! I ended up in hospital myself recently. with a stay for a few days on intravenus antibiotics when a chest X-Ray proved to reveal pneumonia! I'm glad the bleeding stopped. that's probably why you weren't seen sooner. They triage people and have them seen in order of urgency. That's standard protocol for hospital Accident and Emergemcy rooms around the world, but it does mean a lot of waiting, which as you know personally, can be exhausting. Anyway, I'm glad it stopped and that you are okay now and back with Riley. Take good care of yourself!

Thanks Deborah. Yes, back at home with a sore throat and developing head cold, no doubt the result of my A&E visit!

No Boubt is right! I developed a cold that turned into pneumonia from my first emergency room visit! Take care and stay alert to possible pneumonia. If you start to cough a lot, call to get a chest x-ray; they should be able to come to your house and do it.
