No it doesn't rain much here at all.. I thought the same thing.. but the prior horse that had lived in the same corral was in very bad shape..balding..infected.. more than likely after he died, the new horse caught the infection by rubbing against the railings. go figure.. that horse was neglected.. but, this is the girlfriends horse and she takes better care of the horse.. I think it is just ignorance.. so thank you very much.. I think she will appreciate the information.. if not.. I will then report her.
Google seems to have plenty of remedies for this problem, tea tree oil and listerine are often mentioned.
As with a lot of infections it could be due to poor nutrition and compromised immune system so some people recommend using apple cider vinegar added to their drinking water as well as used externally.
