...A month and a half is long enough, right? Relationship/first impressions meme for Eleanor, open til whenever. (Seriously, feel free to comment here even if, like, six months have gone by; I'll probably see it.)
Eleanor likes Matsumoto! Surprising glompage was surprising, but she's fairly used to that at home thanks to her, uh... affectionate older sister. Which is probably part of the reason why she feels pretty comfortable talking to Matsumoto - she pings her as an older-sister type.
Riff gets automatic "Yay, someone on my wavelength!" points for behaving in a way that's familiar to her, plus she's pretty consistently topped by niceness, SO. She was actually pretty relieved to run into him and Merry, because while she is genuinely interested in all the different kinds of people in camp, and has made friends here, and while it's pretty exciting to be in a place that's utterly like anywhere she's ever been, and while she's secretly kinda relieved to be here because home is a rather unpleasant place at the moment for reasons that I'm currently in the middle of essaying about...
...there's also a part of her mind that hasn't yet stopped going "OH MY FUCKING GOD I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED AND SENT A THOUSAND FUCKING MILES AWAY FROM HOME AND I'M IN THE FUTURE AND HOW THE HELL IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE AND OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON."
...Only in much politer language because Eleanor is a Proper Lady of Breeding. But. You get the idea.
So what's a girl to do? Well, if you're Eleanor, you do everything in your power to

She liked Ned, from what little she saw of him. Though his comment about her name being like a soup definitely had her going, "...Bzuh?" S-strange future-talk is strange.
He did indeed! Eleanor likes Sokka - he seems nice, and made her laugh, which is always a plus. She's not normally a fan of sarcastic humor, but his was more dry than sarcastic, and obviously wasn't intended to be hurtful, so didn't press any of her trauma buttons. (Basically, she has serious issues with people being unkind - having a father who's an emotionally abusive douchebag tends to do that to a person.)
IN SHORT: Nice and a funny guy, wouldn't mind talking to him again.
Mikage's easily one of her favorite people at camp - like I said to Riff above, she automatically feels more at ease with people who behave in a manner that she's familiar with. In Mikage's case, that's the courtesy he gives her and... I don't know if I'd call his attitude toward her deferential, but he's clearly aware of her rank and status, and that's how she's used to being treated as a matter of course. She'd never insist on it, but it does make her more inclined to like and feel comfortable with him.
Plus, he's nice to her, and while I've said this before, I'll say it again: Eleanor is massively, massively topped by kindness.
IN SHORT: Nice, comfortingly familiar besides coming from a different world, and generally one of her favorite people at camp.
Eleanor liked the Spirit - he was nice to her, which is an automatic A++ in her books, and won ADDITIONAL BONUS POINTS for going out of his way to break certain pieces of news to her gently. Which she appreciates! She is, however, very curious about the exact nature of the work he does; she got the definite impression that there was a lot of the story that she wasn't getting/being told. It didn't make her distrust him - her general impression was that he's well-intentioned, and that any secrets he has are both non-sinister and probably not her business anyway - but it did make her pretty curious.
