Molly remembers, in her dreams, the night the sky exploded. Every time it looks like fireworks and people huddle together like her family used to on the 4th of July...back when she had a family.
In her dreams she's alone and off to the side. No one huddles with her and she simply has to watch.
She knows what will happen, in her dreams, although no one else seems to. They flinch against the bright flash in unison, like a dance, but she stands still to watch the sky.
The colors are beautiful and Molly can't remember if they were actually like that or if her mind is playing tricks on her. Her mind plays tricks on her a lot when her dreams show her things she isn't sure she wants to see.
The boogeyman shows up in her dreams sometimes and he's off to the side like her. She wishes he would leave.
She's always sadder when the bright sky fades to black and she doesn't know why. Maybe the darkness is just too much.
