Got any recommendations on good places to buy books online? I'm looking for good selection and easy shipping. And since I indulge the tenuous notion that buying from small-time capitalists is somehow preferable to buying from big-time capitalists, I'm looking for good alternatives to Amazon.

powells is great and their workforce is unionized (the strand is unionized as well, but I have heard better reports on powells shipping).

powells. I use half.com (I really like used books), though they are owned by ebay, who are big time capitalists.

there is also bookfinder.com which typically links to small independent bookstores. i've found this is really great for out of print books -- probably no so much an issue for you.

Powell's website often does fundraising for sites that link to it, and they show you used and new copies at the same time.
