I heard this on NPR today and had to turn off the radio. I can't bring myself to watch it. Karl Rove, rapping. Why? Has he not inflicted enough pain on the world already?

Yeah loss for words which doesn't sit well with my urge to create narratives (since that is what I ostensibly am supposed to be doing these days).

Mostly I want to know, when did they decide and who decided that DC gov. dinners should be modeled on Hollywood awards shows? Where is the Zizek article about how this type of farce (and Colbert) is more real than reality itself?

I find it scary. Although, if you do watch it there's a funny bit where rove checks his cell phone in the middle of bouncing around (50s from end), then puts it away.
