Once in a while reading the obituaries really proves its worth. In my ignorance, I never heard of Jane Rule before today, but better late than never:

Sad she's gone... I think I must have read her around the Little Sisters Bookstore struggle with Customs Canada. Thanks for posting this.

Yes, according to the NYT. As is often (sadly) the case with obits, now I want to go back and acquaint myself with someone I didn't even know existed.
