If that "field trip" had been of our own free will I woulda been all for it, but it wasn't and I'm still really ticked off. I'd be even MORE ticked off if something had happened to Lucas or his friends, so I guess I should be thankful he and I found each other and mostly everybody was okay. Don't get me wrong, cause I am, so...thanks, Rescue Team. ( Read more... )

And I suppose you could've learned what it truly meant to fight for your life of your own free will?

We weren't fighting for our lives. We were fighting for an A under the "supervision" of a supposedly responsible adult. In the real world an enemy won't give you a weapon or a map or a heads-up that he's about to turn your life upsidedown.

I can fight for my life if the situation calls for it. What proof do you have there's anyone here who can't?

You make a convincing argument. Next time I won't arm anyone.

And as far as proof goes, we can start with the fact that half of the students didn't.

It'd make for a more realistic worst case scenerio, that's for sure. Seriously, I'm still trying to figure out what the heck that was you even gave me.

Like I said, there was no point since we knew our lives weren't on the line. And not everyone's gonna go pick fights right away anyway. If the students who "survived" survived because they got into groups instead of hunting other people down, shouldn't that be counted as "fighting for their lives" in a passive way? Whatever helps them stay alive, right?
