Ho'kay. I'm looking into nabbing a website ...anybody know what the hell to do?
I was recommended GoDaddy.com for domain-name registration...after that I've NO IDEA.

You've never made a website before?

I have, just not one with my own domain-whatsit. I've made anglefire/geocites ect.. places.

Yeah, register for domain name and all that jazz. Pick one that you will stick with and like even long after college (probably your first and last name). I used godaddy.com and they ask a bunch of other stuff for your site (SSL certification, forms if people want to buy stuff, yada yada...). Just register your name and I bought mine for 5 years with auto-renewal. Also, through it, you would like to have your email there because I personally think it's unprofessional to have your email located anywhere else other than your own side. I haven't done anything to my site, but I believe to edit your site it is FTP based. Mmm, I'll let you know more once I start my site sometime over winter break *crosses fingers*.

all I've found out so far is that you need filezilla to send stuff to your server
