Would talk about my awesome earlier part of the weekend, but my sister Jenn is in the hospital right now for a serious gallbladder attack. Recovery from the full surgery isn't as bad as to take a whole month. ::nodnods:: Especially if they go in through little holes and do it that way. She'll be hurting bad for about a day, in that case, while the gas they pumped her full of to take it out dissipates and she'll probably be sick as a dog, but by the third day, aside some soreness, it won't be bad. She'll certainly be okay in time for Christmas.

The recovery time they quoted early this morning was 6 weeks as they speculated that they couldn't do the little holes and needed to do more intrusive surgery due to severe inflammation.

However, the situation improved later around noon - they're sending her home tonight with a long list of antibiotics and anti inflammatories and monitoring the situation for a few days, then making a call on the surgery. The complicating factor is she's on her period right now and that's causing more inflammation than should be, so I suspect they're waiting for it to pass.

If it passes and the inflammation goes down, maybe they'll be able to switch surgeries.
