Stayed up till 4 am this morning working on homework. I'd already gotten most of it done, but I had to knock out creative writing... which meant writing three short response papers and a 2 page short story for class today. 1066? Battle of Hastings? King Harold killed in battle, William the Conqueror takes over? (Hey, I do still remember some of my history! Yay!)

Yeah, well, it's about the Battle of Hastings, but not. Most of it so far has been about the events leading up to and such. I'm sorry to hear that that's the way it ends... I knew that William won, but I didn't know that Harold was actually killed.

Researched it a bit for a story, plus am descended (wayyyy the hell down the line) from William.

According the Bayeux Tapestry, Harold was shot in the eye, but according to another document, Harold was cut to bits by Norman knights, including William... and then there's the random facts about William's death and burial floating about my head... because I'm weird like that.
