How goes the scholarly writing? Is your head = explode yet? Because GOOD GOD, DUDE, what a topic. (You can doooo it! Yeeeaaaaah!)

Scholarly writing at this point consists mostly of me going Holy crap, no one's actually written about this topic before. Suck. Or else I just suck at research. Which would also be bad, given my current academic aspirations and all.

Other writing's going pretty well, though. I start sending queries to literary agents next month (egad!).

And you, madam? Are you still in the Far East, or have you returned to our soil? More importantly, have you brought/will you bring me many small adorable Japanese children??
