“Pay attention!” a voice snarls at him, and something pokes him painfully in the ribs. “This mission is critical.”

Chase is sitting on a hard chair in a small room with a glowing screen and a logo that looks like an octopus. The asshole who thumped him wears all-black fatigues with a name-tag that reads “Rumlow”.

The last thing he remembers is fighting Caleb and getting blasted into a fireball. Now he has no idea where he is, or what this fool is talking about, his mission.

He glances down and discovers he’s wearing some serious leather body armor, and what the fuck?! His right arm is perfectly normal, but his left arm is shining chrome, a column of interlocking metal plates.

Did Caleb zap him into a video game like Call of Duty?-because this is weird. Maybe he hit his head when he landed, and this is a hallucination from watching Tron too many times as a kid.

Rumlow slaps his face, and Chase’s first reaction is to slam the guy through the nearest wall. But when he tries to push, nothing happens. He tries again with the same ( ... )

Chase soars over the base like an avenging angel on his way to the rendezvous. The flight-suit has elevated this little caper into a whole new realm of awesomeness. It’s got actual metal wings allowing him to swoop and glide. It’s stealth-quiet and the sense of power he feels has given him a hard-on. Ooh this is really fascinating. I can see Chase acting like this. And yeah, fun to watch Chase kick the crap out of the people accustomed to abusing Bucky.

Chase is a law unto himself, and I can see him embracing life as the Winter Soldier...not a whole lot of concern about the morality of his actions. Definitely taking shit from no one!

Awww, it's kind of cool seeing Bucky (but not Bucky) get a little payback, even if it isn't really him :) Can totally see Chase acting like this, lmao! Great fill!

Yeah, Chase is such a textbook sociopath I can see him fitting right in with Hydra--maybe even trying to take over.

Oh, wow, this is awesome! Of course, now I'm worried what happens if the asset wakes back up inside his body after Chase has been living it up. *shudders*

This was a great prompt--it was easy to imagine Chase, with his sociopathic tendencies, embracing life as the Winter Soldier. As for what's happening to Bucky, I think he's got his own problems at the moment. On the positive side, he's de-aged, has all his original parts and is safely away from Hydra. On the other hand, his memory is even more scrambled and he has to deal with these four really scary guys who are pissed at him for the transgressions of the previous occupant. And he has no clue that he has powers of his own--after all, he's been a prisoner of Science for lo these many years. Landing in a continuum with Magic is gonna blow his mind
