He always knew when Veronica was in investigation mode. She had a tightenness around her eyes, a set to her jaw, and a strength that seems to come out of no where.

He also knew that it was the only time her smile would look unusual.

At this point he knew her fairly well and her smiles were ever changing. She had a smile for when she was content, when she was being sarcastic, when she wanted to tell him that he was being a prick, and a smile to say she loved him more than anything. He loved all those smiles, they made him feel whole.

When she was working though, her smile was worth a hundred lies, and Logan, he hated it.
