He isn't running away, he just needs some air, some distance. Sam couldn't understand his motives, but he let his brother go in the end albeit reluctantly. Dean had promised to come back to the bunker as soon as he cleared his head, but for every mile a new fear comes up. He can't stop the Impala now.
"Hello, Dean."
Dean startles, his grip tighter on the steering wheel. "Shit, you scared me, Cas."
"Don't you think it's time to come back?" Cas' voice is earnest as is his face when Dean turns to look at him, his eyes too blue.
"Look, man, I gotta do this."
"Dean.Dean wants to fight, keep on telling everyone that he's bad news, it's better if he stays away. But Cas will just fight him on it, say he's being stupid -which he probably is-and Cas can and will drag him back if needs to ( ... )
