Some part of Ethan knew from the moment she walked into the classroom. But it wasn't until later that he felt it deep in his bones when his lips found hers. There had been some sort of desperation and need and want as they kept kissing and their bodies pressed closer together. Ethan no longer had much desire to leave Gatlin to find something extraordinary outside the town, because there she was, the girl he had met in dreams and who collected poetry, and was magical beyond whatever she could cast.
Ethan knew that from that moment onwards he wouldn't want to part with Lena. Destiny be damned.
