Jared knows Jensen is asleep in the downstairs’ den about thirty seconds after he steps through the front door, so he shushes Harley with some urgent whispers as soon as the dog jumps up to greet him. He knows because Sadie is missing - decadent sloth that she is. And because he can hear Ryan Seacrest sucking up to someone on the red carpet. Jensen will watch the odd show on E!, especially when he’s sick, but there is no way a conscious Jensen will tolerate the guy who bitch-slapped Jensen at a party when Jensen first moved to LA years ago. Jared doesn’t know the details, except that Jensen gets tight-lipped whenever Ryan Seacrest comes on screen and changes the channel instantly. Whatever. They both have stories from way back that don’t need rehashing. And they both have guilty TV pleasures they mock each other mercilessly for. Jared is guessing Jensen fell asleep in front of his

"It's not stupid. It's broccoli," says Jensen, glaring. "Broccoli is important. And awesome."
"One, broccoli is not awesome. It's broccoli. Two, let me break this down for you."
"What is there to possibly break down?" asks Jensen, rubbing his face. They're in the middle of the produce aisle, and Jared has that look like he is on a crusade. It's going to be weird.
"What happens if we buy broccoli?"
"We have broccoli. We get vitamins. We don't die," says Jensen.
"I know that's what you want. But we buy broccoli every time we come to the store. And then we forget we bought it. And it gets gross, and we throw it away. We could save time and energy and avoid a terrible smell if we just threw two bucks into a grate outside

For Jared, Spring is pretty awesome as a whole. His heart always seems to warm once he sees the snow begin to retreat to allow the grass to grow and he can already hear the birds tweeting from the tree outside.
He stretches, goofy grin plastered on his face that dissolves into a frown when he realizes he's alone in bed.
"Mornin', sunshine. 'bout time you're up," Jensen says to him when he walks into the bedroom and whips open the curtains.
Jared pouts and shields his eyes from the sun, sudden stabs of pain forcing him to bury himself under the covers. Jensen drops a box near his feet and tugs the blanket lower.
"C'mon, Jare, we've got a lot to do today."
Jared scrunches his lips and furrows his brow at Jensen. He realizes he's acting like a child refusing to get up for school, but he doesn't care. It's not that often that they both have a day off and his idea of enjoying it is decidedly not cleaning the house. Unfortunately it's Jensen's favorite part of the season-- the freak

Jensen would totally alphabetize his DVDs and CDs. ;) Have to admit, the Misha thing was the first thought I had for this, so I'm thrilled it made you laugh. :D

"I...got something in one of my contacts. That's all."
"Dumbass, you don't wear contacts anymore. You got Lasik, for Christ's sake. Nice try!"
Made of win! <3

And ha, I figure Jensen might fall back on old excuses in the heat of the moment. <3
Good prompt! I had been thinking about that ever since Jared mentioned it!
