I pretty much have to do one of these as I have one for the past 2 years and would hate to forget that 2008 ever happened....

01. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Had a good few months with a bank balance definately in the black. Went to a wedding. Met Joe's family.
02. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any and I doubt I will make any.
03. Did someone close to you give birth?
No.
04. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.
05. What countries did you visit?
Scotland, England and France.
06. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A flat in Edinburgh!
07. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
1st March when Joe moved over, 15th October when we went to Paris.
08. What was your biggest achievement(s) of the year?
Quitting a job I hated in Michael Page, Coping reasonably well with co-habitation.
09. What was your biggest failure(s)?
I failed to find a job that I actually liked and wanted to stick with for more than 5 minutes. I also failed to be sociable and keep in touch with everyone as well as I should have, although I blame Ireland for that.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Fairly constant stress and anxiety related illness for most of the year which will be solved by moving back home I'm sure!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My beautiful new laptop, Chris the table.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Oliver and Jenny for doing something they believe in, Angela for another successful year in Ass-ville.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Various bosses, some other people I'm sure!
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, food, living in shitty Dublin.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Paris, Joe moving over, Christmas.

i. happier or sadder? Happier, definitely.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Moving back to Scotland?

Dealing with the old flat's many and various problems, paying Gym membership for a card to sit in my purse doing nothing.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I was in Aberdeen with my family and Joe and then we went down to Newcastle for a couple of days with Joe's sister. Just got back yesterday.
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
No, just toddled along as before.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
Doctor Who, True Blood, Alias, West Wing, Still Game, Chewin the Fat (been working my way through DVDs!) and Screenwipe.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Is it possible to hate a country and everyone living in it? If so, Ireland.
25. What was the best book you read?
Goodbye, Chunky Rice by Craig Thompson made me cry like a little baby.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Sparks.
27. What did you want and get?
A live-in boyfriend (wow I even give myself the boak)
29. What did you want and not get?
A proper job I could feel proud of doing.
30. Favorite film of this year?
The Dark Knight, Wall-E and Iron Man were all good.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 23 and I went to work then had friends over for a meal.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Being in Scotland.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
The same as every year but with possibly more jumpers?
34. What kept you sane?
The internet.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Clemence Poesy.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Lisbon Treaty vote in Ireland, The ban on gay marriage in the US and I'm sure there was an election somewhere... I can see Russia from my house!
37. Who do you miss?
Family and friends.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Eoin Corrigan, a fantastic gamer in Ireland and Pooka, a lovely American friend of Joe's who I hope to spend most of 2009 being cuddled by.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Not to believe the hype that you get from job interviews and to be strong enough to realise that I'm worth a lot more than I give myself credit for.
