Yearning to get out

I'm glad you're going to the doctor today, especially since you'll be preaching Sunday! (Be sure to tell him about that; he may give you additional cough syrup or something.) If you don't mind drinking hot tea, tea-lemon-honey is a soothing combination.

On Sunday, if your throat feels better but you're having icky drainage still, you might want to take a bottle of strong lemon-water to sip (the lemon helps cut the drainage); be forewarned, though, that it tastes horrible, as it's basically lemonade without sugar. Or a bottle of lemon-tea might work as well.

In any case, hurray for going in view of a call! We'll keep you in our prayers. Be SURE to let us know how it goes!

*hugs, hot tea, prayers, and blessings*

Thanks to both of you. I ended up not going to church today. When I went to the doctor on Friday, she said that I would still be contagious today. I do feel a bit better, though. The church I was supposed to preach at said that we'd reschedule for next week.

Well, I don't know if it will be a career for me or not. That all depends on where God puts me. There is no mistaking that I'm called to preach. It was my senior year of college that I knew I wasn't going to be a doctor. The desire wasn't there anymore, assuming it ever was. One day, I woke up and knew that God was calling me to preach. I get such joy out of it. If God puts me in a large church eventually, then I will have to make that my sole career. If He wants me in small churches, I'll need another job. Either way, it's fulfilling.
