I just finished watching "1776".  That really stirs American pride in you.  I love the United States, and I love being an American.  One thing I felt while watching the film: Our Founders saw it as their duty to obtain independence from the British tyrant, King George.  It is our duty today to preserve and defend that liberty that they risked their ( Read more... )

I may be overstating it a bit, but I think too many Americans are letting our government get a bit too powerful, and many need things kind of overstated. I hope I am grossly overstating it. It'd be much better than the alternative. I didn't want to be like those Bush bashers. I don't think Obama is pure evil. I just think he's too inept and not competent enough to be President.

As for your response being lighthearted, I did notice your smiley. I just take this extremely seriously. I believe it's our duty to preserve our independence. We have to stop this Communist/socialist nonsense. It doesn't work, and it will be our fault if freedom is eliminated.

Again, I hope I'm overstating things. Progressivism is an ugly problem.
