Dear [Apartment Complex] Office Staff,

Over the last few months one of the residents of [my building] has been letting his dogs defecate in the breezeways and on the stairs. He does not clean up this poop, creating a hazard for those of us who live in the building and aren't expecting these unpleasant landmines. I believe he lives on the 3rd floor ( Read more... )

I'd say turn about fair play. Find the person that is doing this, take said landminds and place them upon his door step with lovely message.

They get the clue quickly

Oooh, good suggestion. I wish I knew which unit he was in! I will have to see if I can ferret it out. Even without a note, I am sure a pile of his "gifts" would get the point across quite well.

Foul. I'm not sure if this is better or worse than the person who decided to urinate in the (inside) stairwell next to my unit, mere feet from the door to the outside where there is grass and hedges galore. On the one hand, GROSS, DUDE! On the other hand, at least it was just the once. This person is clearly being obnoxious and must be aware on some level of their douchitude. Definitely seconding finding out where this person lives and returning all those things they dropped on the stairs in a polite and neighborly fashion.

Incidentally, going to email you shortly about SDCC.

Just like when we had someone urinate on our front door and porch in SF... good times.

How is it that we live in a society where people think that this behavior is ok?

Also, this does not sound like a responsible pet owner. It sounds suspiciously like they can't be assed to actually take the dogs on a walk and are just scooting them out the door to do their business and counting on the fact that you live in a gated community. Lazy.
