Serra and I are in Dunedin for a few days for her graduation.  Haven't been here for a good few years.  It's rainy but always quite a homely place.

If you haven't started/done it already, you really need to travel around the country and write a book. I'd buy it.

Could definitely be something to do once I get more than a few days of spare time.

Haha that statue is awesome. On J day, we rolled up some paper to make it look like he was holding a massive smoke =D

If you're around uni at 420 on friday, check out the stoner meeting thingy on the grass outside the cafe bit by refuel. If you're into that kinda thang =)

I just caught a plane back yesterday actually, otherwise I would have passed by for sure.

It's supposed to be summer here. New Zealand has a pretty variable climate at the best of times.

Right up in the far north it's sub-tropical, way down in the deep south it's the last stop before some windswept islets inhabited only by feral sheep and Antarctica, so it gets pretty cold there. Actually in the highlands of Central Otago you get the best of both worlds in summer. Boiling hot during the day then a massive temperature drop at night. Freezing all the time during winter. Lots of people died there during the gold rush.

As for where I live in the capital, that's smack in the middle of the roaring 40s, so we have some extreme winds, but we're used to them.

At least it's warm when it rains in Auckland. I never used to mind it up there when it was wet.
