there's a rupert everett/ ian hart adaptation on boxing day called something like "the silk stocking murders" - the word on the street is that everett is great (he definitely LOOKS the part) compared to roxborugh, we already knew hart was an ideal watson... but the idiot who wrote the screenplay seems to stupidly think that he can improve on doyle so has written a frankly rather iffy script for the thing. hopefully if they keep the actors the NEXT chance will be not too bad... no news on the fry and laurie version though. they have to be better than the new miss marple adaptations though - TRULY shocking
