Icarus would have froze to death+died of lack of oxygen long before making it to such a point... also the rocket boots would fail before such a point as well.. check and mate.
Boy, you know, this post looks real familiar... I can't shake the feeling I've heard this before... and possible contributed to it somehow... Probably just my imagination.
In all seriousness, obviously Sony isn't the only one contributing to this. If you read into it, it says that this ore is used for cellphones and computers too. But that article was written in a site about video games, thus, it's relevant and not that biased in that state. For those interested, the full article can be found here: http://towardfreedom.com/home/content/view/1352/0/ (this article DOES mention this "war" as the "Playstation War", thus can be viewed as "biased" at your discretion.)
Too much Fluffy's master plan for World Domination! It's going to your brain.
The tweak of a concept is intriguing, but I'm just not sure about the PowerPuff Girls. If you get close enough to the sun, surely it does get hot. and the word is "too" not "to". Now you might try to figure out what would happen to his wax wings on the way to the sun. (Crack and break from the cold and turbulance?) Not to mention his brains and breath. And would he fall to the earth or go into orbit.
My goth powerpuff girls are just looking at you, like whatever *full of snark*. They could do it, they tell me. I think they will probably just go out for a mocha and let the world take care of it's self.
Clearly, you take the legend far too literally. Flying too close to the sun is obviously a metaphor for playing too much Nintendo and not cleaning Icarus's room. Wax and wings = getting a piercing/tattoo and acting like a surly teen.
While I agree that it likely is Icarus not cleaning his room and other naughty things... and that the melting wings likely was several gunshot wounds to the head, but really... Do we need to expose our kids to that sort of violence? I think it might be important perhaps on a 5th or 6th birthday, but certainly not before.
