I think the point of adding so many unwilling persons to the friend list might be an illustration of the problems of a unilaterally-imposed governemnt or similar dominance, in this (but not every) case a communist party. If that is the intent, I think it's damn clever.

I wouldn't mind being added to the list.

I do not like this suggestion that I am(amoung others)being tormented by this person who added me to their friends list and wont delete me - as a simulation of some political thing or whatever.
I quit history and commerce cause I'm happier not being aware of the comtroll that small groups of people have over the society.

Well, if the government won't allow switching, and a Prague Spring doesn't happen soon, I don't know that I can just replace you, but if the Party approves, then I'm fine with it.

Is it really that tormenting? It's just a person on your "Friends of" list. If it's a problem, you can hide it and use the "Mutual Friends" option instead.

So I exagerated a little calling it torment. And it might be amusing if I was a history-ish person and could understand this jargon. That I am on the list niggles me and I can't help scratching an itch and it is frustrating to come back and find that my request for termination from the friends list has been completely ignored.
