here Back to your My Page!
Further down on My Page (I keep my browser screen a bit small so I have to scroll to see this), you will see
(I cropped out more ads on the right) Changing the colour of your My Page is easy. Just click the colour you want and you'll see this
Click "change" and you'll see the pretty new colour!
Next, click one of the links to write a blog. The blog editor will look like this
It's pretty easy to figure out, even without knowing any Japanese! (And trust me, my Japanese was TERRIBLE when I first got my Ameba, so I understand) But here are some explanations of the text & emoji editor:
Picture uploader is pretty straight-forward, in my opinion. After you upload, to add pictures to your entry, click the button (the one that's not the trash can, obviously XD) under the pic you want and it will automatically add!
But everyone's favourite thing is emoji! I will show you how to search the user-made emoji.
This is the box that pops up when you first click the icon. You can use the arrows to browse the emoji or use the search box.
Sometimes when you search, nothing will come up. Try using a different/abbreviated keyword or using a Japanese dictionary to search the Japanese word instead of English.
Another way to search is by username: if you see the emoji in another person's blog you can click and drag the emoji you want into the URL bar of your browser then see the username of the person who made it & search their username. For example, the URL of
is
http://emoji.ameba.jp/img/user/xk/xkumix8xioh/825893.gif so just search for the username, xkumix8xioh, and all the emoji she's made will show up.
When you click the emoji, it will be added to your entry. If you're done, click the [X]. Once you're done with your entry, it's time to post it.
However, if you want to add a Youtube/photobucket video or some other HTML, use the HTML editor (be sure to check it in the default editor; videos will not show up normally). Once you click to post, you'll get a pop-up telling you the entry submitted. Wait until the page behind it (the one you were posting the entry in) is finished loading before closing this pop-up, otherwise it doesn't post for some reason.
Now for commenting!
This is someone's entry
To comment, click the comment link.
Click that link between the [brackets] and this window will pop up
Write your comment & submit it. If it goes through OK, you'll see this in the pop-up
If not, you'll see the original page again. If it went through, you can close the window. You can refresh the entry page and you'll see your comment appear!
By the way, if someone posts a comment on one of your entries, you'll get an email like this
