Suggestions for loose tea newbie?

Hello, I'm new here and I have a question. I have been drinking bagged tea for awhile now, but I am interested in starting up with loose tea. The only thing is that as I am a student, I have both a limited budget and limited space (my apartment kitchen is tinySo I'm looking for recommendations as to the most affordable, counter/cupboard-saving

You could go with a muslin bag to wrangle your loose leaves for brewing with minimum hassle in either a cup or a pot/pitcher scenario. Store them when dry with the tea, wash/dry with the dishes. A number of companies also sell mesh strainers (got mine from Republic of Tea) that fit into a mug or a tea pot.

For convenience, I'm partial to Adagio's IngenuiTea--easier to clean than the muslin bags, better leafy movement than the mesh strainer, I can see how close it is to ready and strain it without getting awkward

For rooibos tea, the Republic of Tea sells some decent bagged versions
