If you buy a Chinese-made one, you'll pay only a small fraction of what a Japanese-made one costs.
.
I bought a smaller, Chinese-made one in NYC Chinatown which I consider to be both beautiful and as well made as the much more expensive Japanese pots that were also on offer and which I had occasion to hold, touch and examine. I cannot give you the name of the make because it is stamped in Chinese characters on the underside of the spout.
.
It is a beautiful object, but I must tell you I use it very seldom. It is hard to handle and hard to clean.

A tetsubin: heavy, shatterproof, mostly fairly small.
