You do get containers with most varieties! Next to the ordering options, it'll say "tin" or "bag"- the 16 oz sizes only come in bags, and some of the herbals are sold in bags. (Alas, peppermint seems to be one of the bag-only varieties.) Also, you can save fifty cents and have your tea sent in a bag when you re-order if you want to reuse your containers. Otherwise, most of them come in nice latching tins with UV-blocking lids.
I love Adagio...they have great community on their website aside from being a great retailer. I've only ever ordered sample tins from the website, but buy larger tins at the local Whole Foods. (I think Wegman's may also carry it). While I have tried teas that were not to my personal taste, I have never been disappointed in the quality. I also like that customers can accrue points towards future purchases. They have a great chat forum, the ability to create your own blends, all kinds of articles, cooking contests, etc. It's a great place to get immersed in the world of tea.
But while I'm recommending brands, I also love Mighty Leaf. If you have flavors you like at Teavana, Mighty Leaf often carries the same tea under a different name for a lower price.
Adagio was the very first tea company I bought from when I ventured into loose leaf tea so I'm rather fond of them. :) They're extremely reliable, have great customer service, and the tea selection is good. I don't buy from them much anymore but I've never had an issue with them in the past.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of cinnamon teas because I rarely seem to find any that don't taste like red hots. D:
Also, do you actually get containers with adiago? You get little ziplock bags with teavana.

Here's a picture of my tea "collection" so you can see what their tins look like. The rows of little ones up top are sample sizes.
