He's hiding in a pile of her stuffies near the head of the bed, but she can see more of his limbs than she's willing to ever tell him, and for some reason she imagines his speech bubble without capital letters or punctuation marks.
Annie Eddison does everything with proper punctuation and grammar. Except abed. abed of the run on sentences and the limbs that think they can fit under a pile of five stuffies when they probably never have, because she can't imagine a time when he wasn't too long, too much, too open to hide himself.
why not(her speech bubbles don't have question marks when she talks to abed she supposes because she never had a need for speech bubbles before him and there was never a reason for punctuation after him. not really. not in the strictest sense ( ... )

Until she flies in through the window, with a cape flapping gently around her in the mid-autumn breeze, she'll let him take her away into the noir-nights, taming the darkness he spins with smiles.
Take up arms, lace masks on tight and keep his heart safe until someone better arrives.

Waiting for him, he'll don the armour of the rougue-ish smirk that he'd like to believe, shower her with the praise she'd never think she'd need. Not much, just a "your hair looks nice" or "that dress matches your eyes" or similar words that don't make much sense roll onto his tongue regardless and fit the character he's moulded just for her.
And sometimes just wash the butter-noodle bowl so it doesn't start to mould before she finds it.
