He needs to mature and face his evident trauma instead of wallowing if that is indeed his issue. You cannot help anyone who aren't helping themselves. Try to listen and be good company.

I believe that is an answer to upset, or great sorrow. If someone is troubled, take him to hear orators, or to recitals. Take him - or her, mind, I forget myself - to hear where there is learning, to forget of those things that are not kindly.
