Zechs wasn't often called upon to work with other Turks. True, he worked under the direct supervision of Tseng or Rufus before, or had been given some random security underlings on a few occasions. It was rather rare he had to work with the Turks jointly, however. Before, he was primarily given solo missions ( ... )

Tseng sat himself down on the couch and poked at his PHS for a few long minutes, aware of Zechs in the room and what he was doing, but unconcerned.

Despite what Zechs thought, Tseng had been less disapproving and more concerned about his reaction. Not only that, but he hadn't suggested that he come on this mission because he felt Zechs needed watching. Tseng nodded, curious rather than judgemental. He didn't much care how his Turks spent their time, so long as they did their job, and did it well. Reno was a player, and Tseng certainly had learned to accept that. If Zechs were with a player, Tseng cared even less.

"Then we are not keeping you from him, with this last-minute assignment? I know that the decision to bring you along, and the decision to stay an extra night, were recent ones" he murmured, reaching up to free his straight black hair from the ponytail.

"There are many plans we find ourselves embroiled in at current," Zechs allowed, thinking of the ever-approaching wedding. For a moment, he allowed his thoughts to become derailed by such details, and his brow furrowed. After a moment, his expression calmed again, smooth and professional. "The planning work of the President and the detective alike have made certain my duties will not be impeded, however. I did not hesitate in accepting this assignment, sir ( ... )
