[OOC: I figured why not? Open to a myriad of FF7 peoples - Tseng, Veld, Reeve, Reno and Zack, specifically. Just have at and don't worry too much about turn order, I guess

Veld was already at the bar and had already knocked back a drink (or two) since he had arrived but still far from being drunk. It wasn't hard to spot Tseng and the others when they stepped in but he didn't move at first, taking the time to light up another cigarette and sat back in his chair, watching them.
Tseng spotted Veld after a quick glance around, slightly amazed that he recognized the man even though he looked so much younger than his mental image of him. Were they the same age now, or close to?
He moved towards the bar and slid into a seat next to his old boss, giving him a nod and then gesturing to the bartender. "How are you?"
"I'll be better soon," Tseng said wryly. "It's been a rough few days."
He asked for another of what Veld was having, sure the strong amber liquid would be exactly what he was looking for. He didn't have any intention of getting drunk - despite what might be in the minds of his friends - but he did hope to relax a little with the help of a glass or two.
Reeve had agreed to come against his better judgement, but it took him longer than he'd anticipated to weave his way through the familiar streets. Being back in Midgar was a conflicting storm of the desire to fix things, and the desire to stay here in the city he'd loved.
He let himself into the bar, looking around for the telltale blue suits. The Turks weren't hard to find; everyone else was giving them plenty of elbow room. He made his way over, resting a hand on his lover's shoulder.
Tseng glanced up at the touch, smiling faintly, and lifting a hand to touch Reeve's hand in return. "Glad you could make it, love," he said quietly. "Have a seat."
"Fine," Tseng said, giving a wan smile. He didn't want to dwell on it too much - hence the alcohol - and in some ways Rufus' reaction had been better than the one he'd feared. But it was still difficult.
"It's interesting being back here, don't you think?" he asked, gesturing at the nearest window.
Things hadn't changed much in Midgar...he knew that somewhere in the slums he'd been whelped to some poor, slum couple he'd never remember. He didn't particularly care to go looking either despite the curiosity...it'd be too weird seeing himself as an infant. And besides, what do you say to your parents when they're total strangers: Yo! Thanks for nothin' assholes. He wasn't even certain what he'd do in Veld's company...he wasn't really the Veld that Reno remembered and he didn't know the man too long either. He was pretty new to the Turks when Veld was in charge...though not as new as some. On top of that the only person he figured he'd feel comfortable around at this point was Zack...and that was if he turned up. Not that Reno would let it show and after a few drinks he'd seem almost normal
( ... )
"Not much," Tseng said, glancing over at Reno and smiling faintly. "I was just considering pulling out your baby pictures for Veld. Or were you even born yet at this time?"
This was strange to say the least but he gave the other three a nod. "Good to meet you all and all that," he said, gesturing for the bartender to bring more drinks since it seemed this could get awkward fast and he didn't really want to think about the future tonight. "No baby pictures tonight are necessary tonight, I feel old enough already," he chuckled.
"I was born the same year as the prez, but I dunno about the exact date...I'm probably a few months older...but I don't have any baby pictures that I know of so no worries," Reno said grinning and shrugging. For once he was glad that he had nothing of the kind to show off unlike Rufus who was probably getting snapshots all the time. And now time for some of that Reno humor, "you are pretty damned old, Veld, in our time you're ancient."

"Can't complain, especially after a few more drinks. You?" he grinned then, gesturing for the bartender to bring him another drink as well.
