Amen. Amen amen amen.
I'm in the same (sort of) position - I technically have a job, but I'd just really like a different one, that has stability and nice people and a base level of respect from my colleagues.

And the whole act of job hunting... and the not-knowing... it's killing me. Plus I start questioning what the hell I'm actually good at, and what the hell I'd want to actually *do*... and it's horrible.

So - you have my sympathies and my crossed fingers and a share of my good job-finding wishes. May this be over soon.

im wanting the grown up thing of a job thats not casual or contracted for x months.

i hate calling people
my dad used to always nag at me about it
now my boyfriend has taken that role
hes all just call the persona and chat.
i email people. i am happy with that
ha!

but yeah. NOT FUN

i know how you feel! its such a disheartening experience, and I'm not the kind of person who likes to "sell" how good a person I am which I think works against me a lot of the time. i am also not a confident person, and it comes through in interviews.

i swear selection criteria have gone to new levels of awful in the past year.

i find it all a bit awkward
and i hate selling myself
and the more thanks but no thanks you get
the less you want to try
