Comment: This song was my inspiration while writing this. It has... a fitting touch, I think.

They had started as enemies, one opposing the other, sword against gun, speed against strenght. They had fought a fierce battle, both shedding blood, both trying to crush their opponent's bones like they wanted to crush their dreams and hopes and future.

But he had beaten her, because knowledge was stronger than resolve. Nevertheless, he had spared her life, had made her his aide, told her she could kill him as soon as she finds a way to. He had played with his life and with her life and he had smiled, such a bitter and dark and twisted, yet beautifully frail smile.

And now, she did not want to kill him anymore.

She had thought about playing with him, making him succumb to her charme and her body. It seemed so easy. It would have been lovely to break his heart.
But things did not occur the way she wanted them to be.

And now, she had fallen for him.

Was it his trap, had he aimed for that? Had he wanted her to react this way? Was it some kind of seduction? She wasn't sure. She only knew that there was something - something in his eyes, something in his voice, something in his appearance that just secretly screamed at her, stay, stay, do not go, save me, like a shadow of broken bloody wings on his broad back that just had to be fixed...

But how, she asked the darkness. How fixing one that did not want to be fixed, one that had no interest in living a good sheltered life, one so full with anger and frustration and passion and power....

Oh, he was successful in crashing her dreams and hopes. But instead of them, he had given her new dreams, a new idea of the future, an aim, a destination. He had offered his hand and she had taken it, had given him the lead in everything, everything she could think of; And now she walked by his side, hand in hand with the man he mistook for a monster just a while ago, strolling through the infernal abyss, maybe afraid, maybe scared, but never ever doubting him or his goals. Because he had persuaded her, completely, ultimately.

He had changed her. He gave her something that was worth all this.

A new name, a new existence.

And a reason to go on.
