Sorry for spamming your f-lists guys, but it's a survey and I HAVE TO.
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Rika is short and thin. She's about 4'8", and probably won't be too much taller at her full height. Rika's also really tiny.
2. How old is she?
Oh, about ten years old. Physically, at least. Rika's lived for at least one hundred years.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She carries herself very well, and almost never slouches even when she's feeling down.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
She's pretty healthy. However, she does have Hinamizawa Syndrome, but since Rika is the Queen Carrier, she never really shows any symptoms of it and is able to keep others from showing symptoms as well.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
I guess she's...fluid? She's really sort of in the middle between graceful and clumsy; not really being either although she does fall down a couple of times.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She's very cute and will likely grow up to be very beautiful (going by the even moreso than usual Rika-looking Bernkastel at the end of season two). Rika knows she's cute and that others see her that way, as she uses it to her advantage.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
She's pretty light-skinned with no scars.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Her hair is very long, at about waist length. It's mainly a purpley-blue color with lighter blue-ish/purplish highlights in it. She also has a hime cut.
9. What color are her eyes?
She has purple eyes that are slightly darker than the color of her hair.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Other than being really adorable? Not really. Unless you wanna count the fact that she can have really creepy facial expressions sometimes. But who in Higurashi doesn't?
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Probably her back, shoulders, and arms from carrying that ceremonial hoe. It's really heavy, probably around fourty pounds or so, which makes me think that it must cause quite a bit of stress in those areas.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Her uniform is just a white shirt with a black overalled skirt; quite simple, really. Her casual wear is just that, casual. She wears a pastel green sundress when she's not in school. When she was younger, she wore a pastel pink sundress. So, most of her wardrobe probably consists of pastel colors with some summery colors mixed in.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Her clothes fit pretty loosely on her, so she's definitely comfortable in them.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Nope! She wears a miko outfit when she performs any ceremonial tasks. It's much more traditional than her casual wear.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
.... Ummm none of those? She wears panties.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
High-pitched, when she's acting like she's ten years old. However, when she's being her true self, her voice is deeper and sounds a lot like a twenty year old's would.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
Rika never hesitates with her words. She speaks neither loud or soft, and she speaks her words evenly.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Ohhhh yeah. She loooves to say things like "nipaa", "pachi pachi pachi", "mii" or really any other sound effects/words with no meaning. Rika also adds "nanodesu" at the end of almost every sentence, and since there's not really a sensical translation to that, I just have her speak pretty formally. She also uses "boku", which not many girls do since boys use that to refer to themselves. However, when she's being her true self, Rika refers to herself using "watashi", and the verbal tics are gone.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
She speaks Japanese, and probably some English, but only whatever she's learned in class.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
She changes the way she speaks when she feels like bein' creepy, is serious, or whatever.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She's very good at speaking without thinking. However, Rika does put thought into what she says since she tends to think a lot.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Very, very eloquent even when she's acting like a ten year old. She becomes even moreso when she is being her true self.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
She is very, very smart. Before anything is necessarily revealed, her intelligence is hinted at in the VNs. I'd also say she's both book-smart and street-smart, since she's had quite a bit of time to accumulate intelligence in both areas.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
A little bit of both. She prefers to plan things out, but will think on her feet when she absolutely has to, such as her fight in Meakashi-hen which I believe was Rika thinking completely on her feet.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
She's right smack-dab in the middle on these. On the logical side, Rika has little facts compiled of all the worlds she's been to, and knows what will always happen no matter the circumstances. Intuitively, she knows what her friends are thinking (other than the fact that she's kinda known them for one hundred plus years). She's sort of idealistic, thinking that there there will be a sucessful world out there. However, her practical thought says otherwise.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
An okay one. Her class is compiled of all grade levels with one teacher, so it's mostly self-studying. Also, she's only ten and hasn't really had much school education. I like to think she did end up teacher herself higher grade level material over the years though.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
I think if she was interested in learning more about anything, she would've done so. However, Rika really wants to learn about life as an adolescent, as an adult, and as an old woman.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
A little bit of both. Her true personality is introverted, as she tells others pratically nothing about what's going on, while her "fake" personality is pretty extroverted.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Mood swings! She can change moods so fast it'll give you whiplash. One moment she's all adorable, the next she's creepy!
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
She's pretty relaxed and enthusiastic. Rika loves meeting new people.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
More likely to act, if we're going by her actions in Meakashi-hen and Tsumihoroboshi-hen.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Fight, definitely. She's tried sedating people who have been overcome with Hinamizawa Syndrome, rather than just letting things happen. However, she's not very sucessful with it.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Pretty twisted, on both ends. She loves crossdressing men and thinks it's hilarious. Rika's also really pervy. She also thinks it's funny to creep people out.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
Nope.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
As weird as it is, her death. She's pretty melancholy, and that's mostly due to her death. However, where I've taken her from canon, she's just regained her hope after she and her friends fought for their lives.
14. What does she fear?
Not succeeding in finding the perfect Hinamizawa.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
To find the perfect Hinamizawa, have all of her friends survive, and to grow up.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
How twisted she really can be.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
Pratically nonexistant. She's seen her parents die so many times, that she stopped caring about them to alleviate the pain of their deaths. Therefore, she has no respect for them.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Nope.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
No. Other than her parents, any other blood relatives she may have are unknown.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Yes! Akasaka is like her father, and her guardian. Hanyuu often treats Rika like her own daughter, since Hanyuu never got to see her daughter grow up (and Rika looks and acts quite a bit like Hanyuus' daughter did). Also, all of her friends are looked at as family to her.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Satoko. She met Satoko in school and has been with her through the good and the bad times.
6. Does she have other close friends?
Yep! Keiichi, Mion, Rena, Shion, Akasaka, and Hanyuu.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
She makes friends very easily. People are naturally drawn to Rika since she puts off a positive vibe (and possibly because she's the Queen Carrier). Also, she's so adorable!
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
Friends. Rika has no respect for her family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
She's single.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No. She's not looking for one either.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Romance is the last thing on Rika's mind, so she has no crush.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
Rika will need someone who will balance her out, and someone she can fully trust with all of her secrets, and who will accept all aspects of her personality. This person needs to be optimistic, intelligent, and spontaneous.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
Nope. As of now, Rika's not even thinking of children.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
Takano. For... obvious reasons.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
I'm going to say a 3 for now, since Rika's not really interested in either gender at the moment.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
Umm, she doesn't even think about it.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
So, I gave Rika the birthday of September 7th, making her a Virgo. Perfectionist, intelligent, realistic. Since she was born around 1973, she is the sign of the Rat, which has qualities such as intellect, shrewdness, manipulative, critical, and eloquent. All of those fit her!
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
She's both. Rika is a shrine maiden, so she believes in deities. Also, she can see and speak the village deity, Oyashiro.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Rika's morals are a little skewed, since she's around death so much and because it's Higurashi. She will forgive her friends for their sins of killing others, but Rika herself will not kill unless necessary.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
She's tolerant, with a bit of indifference. Rika's more concerned with her own beliefs than anyone else's.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She doesn't have any. Rika's generally pretty accepting of others.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Rich. Her family is one of the three main families of the village, after all.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
Pretty high social status ever since she was born. Being a shrine maiden, all of the villagers greatly respect her and treat her with a lot of care, although that could also be due to the fact that she's the Queen Carrier and they are naturally drawn to her.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She lives in a storage house, as she has left the main house untouched since her parents died. It's in pretty good condition; it's pretty nice on the inside even though the building looks old. She currently lives with Satoko.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Alcohol. And probably games.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
She's a shrine maiden, and she enjoys it quite a bit.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
She loves to play games, since that is the only unpredictable thing about her life.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
She really likes spicy food and likes to torment Hanyuu with it. Rika also loves alcohol and drinks a lot of wine, specifically Bernkastel.
