I am weirdly happy right now because I've just discovered the reason I've been kept awake for the past three nights. There was a cricket in my printer. Seriously. I actually thought I was hearing things or going crazy or something. I couldn't tell where it was coming from exactly and the noise would stop and start at odd times. It's been loud ( Read more... )

I'm impressed you've read 25 big bangs! I think I've only read 3 so far, haha. I am a pretty slow reader though. I'm also jealous that you'll read so many bands & pairings. Though I'll stray from my usuals sometimes, I do tend to read by pairing. At least my favorite pairings tend to be written a lot.

And yay for a good fandom meet-up! I nervous the first time I met someone from the internet, but it turned out awesome, and now I love meeting anyone on my flist. I haven't had a bad experience yet! :D

I'm addicted and read quite fast. ;) Yeah, although I don't have an OPT in bandom, the pairings I prefer really don't get written as often as I'd like.

we had crickets for a while when the kids were keeping mantids and they drove me insane! i had to put them out on the verandah. too bad if another critter found them and worked out how to get into the box!

hope we get to meet up in august, bb!

oh, and i LOVE reading rec posts. i love seeing what people enjoyed and why etc. and there's always something that i missed/skipped over for whatever reason. BBB is so overwhelming, and i've been busy so i've read so much less than i have intended to.

Me too! It's great when I end up loving a fic I previously passed over, but the rec convinced me. And yeah, BBB is hugely overwhelming, I'm lucky to have had time at the mo to keep up.

Wow, you are doing waay better with BBB than I am at the moment. Seriously, I think I've read a grand total of....three? Not counting the ones I beta'ed, I mean. (I read the Dragon Rider AU, zarah5v2's, and...oh wow, I swear there was another one. This is what happens when you suddenly decide to become obsessed with other fandoms right around the time that a lot of fic is being written in your own fandom. *facepalm*)

\o/ for a fandom meet-up! And for it being awesome, of course.
