[It's a familiar feeling, that. The constriction in his throat, the cold waters. And for a moment Javert wonders if such communication could bring about a second death. But what is absent is the strength of the currents, a true feeling of resignation and burning death in his chest. It isn't... as real as his own experience. Rightfully so.
Javert is still getting used to feeling these wretched dreams.
But just as it came on, the feelings fled when the dream ended. He takes a moment to collect himself, his breathing slowing to a normal rate once more. He absently loosens his cravat and picks up his own Dreamberry for a response, gaze somewhat distance and thoughtful.]
[He doesn't bother casting the Dreamberry an actual glance, and instead settles upon looking in that general direction -- enough to broadcast his voice loud enough so that the man on the other end can hear, and vice versa. He says nothing for a few moments, allowing the other words to mull over in his head. When they do, he can't help but scoff, if not a bit sarcastically.]
[He quirks a brow, because that question definitely came from left-field. It could apply to so many things, so giving a committed answer without knowing more would definitely be revealing his own hand.]
[So much for a normal sleep. How the hell did he actually feel that?! It was just a dream wasn't it?! Then again, Somarium. Yeah, it's never supposed to make sense is it.
Neku is still trying to regain control of his breathing and heart because that felt way to real. His hands unconsciously went to his throat as if he were being choked in reflex. He knows the feeling of dying having experienced it twice already and that was definitely it.
Normally he would want to pick fun at the whole 'All-mighty Composer can't swim' bit but...this was not the time for it. The way he reacted to the dream just seemed to scream 'this is serious'. Kinda like when he had that nightmare. First things first though...]
...You doing okay?
[It's the standard question and he doesn't really know what else to say at the moment being as socially awkward as he sadly is and knows.]
[He doesn't answer right away, considering he's staring blankly, if not a bit angrily, across the room in the darkness. Of course, with the constant light coming and going from the Dreamberry, he's going to have to pick it up eventually, right? A lengthy sigh, and he reaches down to recollect the damn thing, amazed at how it's not damaged. And it's remarkable how someone as pale as himself could be impossibly paler, still.]
Hm? [He kind of didn't hear what you said...Perhaps he wasn't listening, or he just didn't pick it up in time. Oh well.]
[Mai's eyes widen slightly as she puts her hand around her neck, trying to relearn how to breathe. And when it's over, she takes a deep breath, grateful for the air. Whatever just happened, it's probably another thing to do with this place--she doesn't really care about the "how" or "why."]
... Well, that's something I've always wanted to experience.

A nasty way to go. Perhaps you should look into learning to swim?

Yes, that would be the logical choice, wouldn't it?

And it was only once, correct?

I didn't go out on the lake. I'm not that foolish.

That is relatively simple to avoid:
Don't go to the lake.

I'm afraid that's the problem. I already have.

[His usual snark and cockiness really isn't in it, and he's closing his eyes for a few moments, biting back another cough.]
...Still, your point?
