Thanks for posting this. I didn't know about this stuff. B of A has gone back to Congress asking for more money. I'm a B of A customer, and I'm concerned that my lowly checking and savings accounts are going to go *pfft*.

I can understand your concern. Your accounts would be FDIC insured, but as hubby pointed out, who knows how long it would take to get your money back? We have money in other places just in case.

In the meantime, can you use your customer status to complain to B of A? The more comments they get, especially from curstomers, the more pressure they are under. Or could you switch banks? Not that I'd know what to recommend as an alternative. We're with Citi, which probably isn't that much better.

I'm concerned that the FDIC is going to go under as well. Switching banks is an option.
