[Name:] Viola Cadaverini
[Age:] 31
[Gender:] Female
[Marital Status:] Single
[Sexuality:] Straight
[Occupation:] New head of the Cadaverini Family mafia
CONNECTIONS
[Family:]
Bruto Cadaverini: Her beloved deceased grandfather and the former head of the Cadaverini mafia. Bruto was very close to Viola and vice versa. The extent of this close relationship is shown when Bruto makes Tigre take care of Viola and her medical bills and when his grand-daughter took care of him in the last couple of years of his life. Viola still misses him very much.
[Friends:]
Viola doesn’t have anyone that she can classify as a friend, when it comes to canonical characters, and she rather likes it that way. That is not to say she has no friends, just none worthy of mention.
[Enemies:]
Furio Tigre: Once, Viola loved and firmly believed in the man’s reasoning behind paying for her medical bills when she was in that accident back in 2018. But after State vs Bryde’s final result, there is nothing but hatred for Furio Tigre even though he is now dead. For starters, all of the affection he gave her was faked because he was responsible for the accident and he offered to pay her bills because if he didn’t, he would have been a dead man. There was also the murder of Glen Elg which Viola found to be a disgrace as the gambling addict of a programmer could have paid off his $100,000 debt willingly, but Tigre killed him to help pay off his own debt.
[Other:]
Jean Armstrong: A significant victim to Tender Lender, but while most of the debts taken during Tigre’s management of the loan shark headquarters were absolved, Armstrong continued to borrow money when Viola was managing the business, money from the Cadaverinis and as such, still needs to repay what he owes. The two have a relationship full of history, as much as a borrower and a lender of money can have, but outside of doing business, Viola would prefer to not see, hear, or smell Armstrong as much as possible.
Phoenix Wright: While having a feeling of graititude for the ex-lawyer for taking care of the Tigre problem, Phoenix Wright still stuck his nose into matters that didn’t involve him which annoyed Viola, but since Wright has not done anything involving her or the Cadaverini family (even before his disbarrment), she’s willing to let him go as there are bigger fish to fry.
Wocky Kitaki: This little OG wanna-be often visited Viola 5 years ago, even watching her conduct business at Tender Lender. She tended to tease the boy (in her usual scary fashion) and call him “Little Kit” but as the years went by, Wocky stopped coming by as often, trying to prove himself as a real gangsta.
The Kitaki Family: The relationship between the two crime familes is a rather peaceful one, despite that over time the Kitakis took the title of most powerful mafia group from the Cadaverinis. Both the Kitakis, with their community spirit, and the Cadaverinis, with their intent to move away from the more shadier parts of organized crime, wish to avoid a mob war as much as possible.
The Rivales Family: The Rivales, on the other hand, are not on friendly terms with the Cadaverinis. Viola thinks of them as just a large group of violent goons that’d shoot first and pick up the scraps instead of securing more money in a more peaceful fashion. However, the Rivales are mostly distracted with their feud with the Kitakis so there is very little dealings with them.
Diego Armando: Back when Viola’s uncle, Marcus, was on trial for murder in the year 2008, Diego was the attourney handling the defense, his first time ever in court. Ever since then, she harbored a crush on him and only informed him of that long after he was released from prison. They later dated a couple of times and what happened is their business and no one else’s.
Jake Marshall: This cowboy caught Viola’s eye 5 years ago due to “common interests”, but she was disapointed when she found out that Marshall wasn’t single. Jake broke that bit of news to her after she already invited him to her home. After that, they never saw or spoke to each other again (thanks to that city slicker of a cowboy ran off to Wyoming.)
Kristoph Gavin: The elder Gavin brother took on the job of defending Viola when she was charged with a murder and arson back in April, 2020, a job that was performed satisfactory to Viola as she was found not guilty and Kristoph didn’t go beyond that aspect of the truth, unlike a certain ex-lawyer. They did not have any dealings outside of that particular incident and it’s probably for the best.
CHARACTER
[General personality:]
Viola likes the things all women like: raw meat, fires, throwing in the casual death threat or implying that baked goods or beverages she offers are going to kill her guests. She also enjoys creeping random people out with her usual charms, finding it somewhat amusing that anyone (be they a big guy like Tigre or a goofball like Ron or Meekins) can be find a woman like her, someone you can toss like a rag doll, to be scary. She doesn’t care for people who betray her trust (be they mafia-affiliated or just normal people), people who kiss up to her because her mafioso status when they give a different reason and people who stick their nose into places it doesn’t belong. Her hobbies include baking, the aforementioned creeping people out, and taking a ride in one of the family cars (though she never drives. Not since the accident. Or rather, that she’d rather not get into the same kind of incident the last time she got behind the wheel.)
Obviously, her greatest strengths is her position in the mafia with it’s unique way of solving problems as well as her nature to be so intimidating that she can scare many people into submission. This usually includes her manner of speech to be slow and full of pauses to help get the point of her sentences across, sneaking up behind or even pop out of a backroom to surprise others, and of course, the usual threat of death, pain, or that people ate something she prepared that was poisonous. Another strength is that she can be very loyal to someone and expects others to return that loyalty in kind, otherwise she can turn from a great ally to a great enemy.
Her greatest weakness is that she is physically weak, preferring to use her talents or use someone’s assistance to take care of matters. Also, her loyalty can be a bit of a weakness. For example, during 3-3, she put aside the initial dislike for Tigre’s actions out of her affection for the man. Those who knew her during that time should keep in mind that it will rarely if ever happen again nor should she be mistaken for a naïve girl that got way over her head. She is the head of a mafia family and she rather enjoys it.
[Appearance:] Oddly enough, Viola’s appearance did not change in the slightest in all of the years. She’s as pale and rail-thin as ever. She even still wears the plain black dress, white shirt and red bow that she wore so many years ago. It kind of makes her even creepier that the woman does not seem to age.
[Background:]
Viola was just like any other granddaughter of a mafia kingpin that is very protective of…At least until the accident happened. On August 3rd, 2018, Viola got into a car accident, hitting some absurdly tanned idiot on a pink scooter. That man was Furio Tigre and despite the damage to the aforementioned scooter, Tigre emerged unscathed. Viola was not so lucky, suffering massive head trauma and short-term amnesia (causing her to forget the details of the accident.) During her hospitalization, Tigre cared for the girl, though this was because Viola’s grandfather, Bruto Cadaverini threatened the large man to pay her medical bills (including a hefty sum of $1,000,000 as “compensation”) or face the rather nasty consequences. When she woke up, Tigre gave the story about how he’s caring for her because he loves her; touched by this, she decides to repay him by working for him at Tender Lender.
Then 3-3 happened; there was drama, comedy, little tiny hot dogs made with love, and an unnecessary Mia Fey insert. But after that, Viola got out of her spiral of denial about Tigre and did what every girl does with their first love after accepting that the big idiot didn't love them...she got over it.
After Tigre went to jail, the Cadaverinis took control over Tender Lender and all of its clients (especially Armstrong) and Viola managed it as a hobby while caring for her grandfather until he passed away. Once that happened, Viola gained control of the family as she was the only blood relative of Bruto that could lead (the others being dead, in prison, or just not capable of leading a crime ring.) The change in guard weakened the family, along with Viola’s decision to focus their resources on making a profit through more legitimate ways or in ways that would get less heat from law enforcement, thus making one of the strongest gang of mobsters into a shell of itself. But if anyone in the family had complaints about the way the new boss is taking the organization, they have not said it to Viola directly.
