I can just imagine how exciting this must be... I read the link to Websnark and loved the comment at the bottom that someone wrote (LOL):

The link was kinda TLDR but I did catch one line that said what people expect Star Trek to be can't really be said because it's more of a notion.

Untrue. I thought I wrote the following out loud but I can't seem to find it so I'll say it here: Star Trek is the story of a group of friends having adventures.

Friends on the same ship.

Based on some friends' experience in beta, STO is definitely not Star Trek for me. What I expected was the following: I and a group of my friends get together and form what would be a guild in other MMOs but is a starship crew in STO. The name of our guild is the name of our ship, and we go in the ship-together-and have adventures ( ... )

You are not alone in thinking that. Cryptic is carefully leaving open the possibility of adding multiplayer ships sometime after launch. Keep an eye out!

It's been so long since the Perpetual days and STO.net I'd forgotten where we first ran across each other's virtual presence. But I think I recall now ;)

Alas, I won't be joining the masses logging on at launch, but at least until 6pm PST tomorrow Lt. Cmdr Lorem Koreth (Lorem@Schezar)will still be around in his Aurora class science vessel, the U.S.S. Demosthenes

I love how excited you get over such things! It makes me feel a little better (and a lot more normal!) since I spazz out over things too. Have fun with the game!!!! ;)
