What I think is most ridiculous about this story is how it all blew up. From my understanding it started out because the CUSA wanted to diversify the charities that got their funding. Someone mentioned having a three year rotation in order to benefit many charities instead of one. Somehow that turned into supporting charities that benefit many instead of few. What started out, in my opinion, as a perfectly valid attempt to diversify the charities they benefited was spun into some sort of pissing contests for which charities DESERVED the money more

the "beacause it primarily affects white men" certainly helped it explode. If it was presented as lets rotate chairities to help more then one yeah thats perfectly reasonable. However it was presented as this only helps white men, so were putting our efforts elsehwere
