I'm love, love, loving the BBC adaptation of Tess of the d'Ubervilles :D Everything is perfect...the casting, the scenery, the cinematography and the score. I've recently discovered the song that Tess, Marion and the others sing when they're working is called The Snow It Melts The Soonest and is an old Northumbrian folk song. I'm currently trying to learn the lyrics, although I'm a hopeless singer. It sounds lovely on the flute as well though :)

Have you seen any of the Tess adaptation? I just watched the final episode this evening and it was beautiful, I was crying at the end which is odd because I can't remember ever crying at a film or TV programme before!

I haven't seen any, but last year I had to read a book for a class.
I hope some of the tv channels will buy the film, it sounds good and that song is just beautiful.
