People that don't have to wear glasses (or contacts) don't realize how good they have it. They don't have to get up every morning and not know where you are because you can't see. They don't have to get up and clean their glasses so lights don't have stars around them. They don't have to push up their glasses constantly. They don't have to worry ( Read more... )

Reminds me of the tangent Filburt went into in the episode "Eyes Capades"... which for the life of me I can't remember in it's intirety.

"You can't swim with them, if you lose them, you can't find them. All the names you get called... Oh fishsticks, I've gone and depressed myself."

Ah, yes, I forgot about swimming. Of course, though, I don't go swimming very often...probably because I don't like being blind while I'm swimming.

LoL, "if you lose them, you can't find them" *snicker*. So true.

I actually was never called any names (not that I recall, I dunno, maybe I blocked it out).

I have been wearing my glasses for so long that they are an extension of myself. I feel "naked" without them. I tried contacts and they are EVIL and as for going w/o them that is impossible...I love my glasses, despite their addes effort...the fact that they ar cats eye with rhinestones only improves my love for them!

I hear ya. Have you ever tried pushing up your glasses even though your not wearing them? They just feel like they are always on. They become a part of you.

Nope cause my glasses are ALWAYS on. Even when I sleep..so I can recognize the people I dream about!

tell me about it...today i was holding a ten month old girl and she yanked my glasses off and threw them onto the concrete...one lense popped out and got all scratched up so now tomorrow morning i'm going to have to go get a new lense...now all i can see through my left lense are these scratch marks
