Mitchie smiled as she walked around the main stage of Camp Rock. She couldn't believe she was back at Camp Rock once again. It was a dream come true. Once more, she had come with her mother, but this time she was a counselor. And the best part of being back at Camp Rock; seeing her boyfriend Shane Gray for two whole months of summer fun. She and Shane had mutually confessed their feelings last summer and had made an effort to keep the relationship going throughout the year, even while he toured. Luckily, it worked out just fine for them, and they were still together. Mitchie was so excited and the butterflies in her stomach grew as she heard Brown yell out.
"And now, please give it up for a familiar face from last year, Mitchie Torres!" Mitchie smiled before running up the steps to the stage and waved to the crowd before her. She walked up toward Brown and smiled at him as he engulfed her in a large hug right there on stage. She could see Caitlin over by her computer behind them as well as Ella behind a mike, having already planned ahead that she would sing back up.
"Glad you're back, Mitchie," whispered Brown in her ear before finally letting her go. She had definitely missed Brown throughout the year and smiled right back at him. She heard a honk coming from the opposite direction and looked over to see an old pickup truck drive up. It wasn't the pickup truck that was interesting, what was interesting was the fact that Connect Three was seated in the back.
The crowd went crazy as Shane, Nate and Jason all smiled at them while the pickup truck came to a stop. When it finally did, Shane was the first to stand up and wave. Mitchie's heart fluttered, yes fluttered, as she saw the smile on Shane's face. Just as he started walking out, he suddenly tripped and fell out of the truck. A unanimous groan emitted from the audience and Mitchie gasped, before running down off the stage and through the crowd toward Shane.
A distant Jason remarked, "We probably shouldn't have tied his shoes together" as Mitchie finally made her way through the crowd and toward Shane who was still lying there on the ground.
"Nice entrance, pop star," she remarked as Shane finally managed to stand upright, a look of shock on his face as he turned to face her.
"Mitchie!" He started to smile but unfortunately for him, it seemed a friend went down with him as a chicken went crazy up on his head. Mitchie chuckled before reaching up and grabbed the chicken, placing it back on the pickup truck. The two smiled at each other, lost in each other's gaze before several voices started bringing them back to reality.
"Um, Mitchie," stated Brown causing the two to turn toward the stage, "We kind of need you back up here."
"You're singing?" Mitchie smiled as she turned back around to face the questioner.
"Well last year had to have some impact on my stage fright," she replied as she looked back into his smiling face, "I'd better get up there." Just as she was about to make her way back, a hand shot out and grabbed hers.
"Hey Mitchie," began Shane as Mitchie turned fully around, shooting him a questioned look in reply. Before she could do anything, she found herself extremely close to him as he placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Knock them dead," he said, finally releasing her from his grip. She grinned before walking up toward the stage, any butterflies toward singing completely gone and replaced by the butterflies she felt from Shane's kiss. Something told her this was going to be a great summer.
