I enjoyed this, once I managed to ignore the part about the Russians being the baddies (I just recently saw Salt, I'm still appalled). Just wondering, did you mean something by calling Galina 'the first'?

And I'm not 100% on which line you're referring to, but if you mean "So when Dom heard him screaming, really screaming, for the first time..." I was trying to say that it was the first time Cobb had heard him just lose his shit and scream, instead of trying to control himself or being able to moderate himself. Is that what you meant?

And re-reading this comment, it comes off kind of like I'm looking down my nose or something, but I'm just all like, "Hnngh?" not actually trying to sound that way.

No, it was completely and utterly random, with no meaning behind it whatsoever. I picked it off a list of Russian names because I thought it sounded pretty. Clearly I should have done more research. D:

Sorry. I chose Russia simply because it's a large, developed country where people would have the resources and motivation to employ extractors. She coulda been French, Brazilian, or Egyptian and it wouldn't have really mattered. It was just shorthand.
