I think you have a point about my generation -- these pollsters can only poll those with a phone. A majority of people I know have unlisted cellphones, and wouldn't answer a poll anyway. Pollsters may try to compensate by giving under 30's a bigger weight in the numbers, but that only goes so far. I'm hoping we're the uncounted majority, and we sweep the polls.
Unfortunately, a number of people I know back home (in a state where Bush has a clear majority) aren't voting because they don't feel like it matters. I blame the electoral college system for that. The problem is that then my liberal-minded young friends also miss out on voting for other things that matter -- like voting down the anti-gay rights bills these asshats are sticking on the ballots, or for the Democratic senator who actually has a shot at winning because the Republican candidate is insaneI really feel for the people in battleground states. Do you know that I've seen less than five political commercials this

I've always volunteered, since I was in college during the Clinton/Gore campaign. Since then I've managed to see every "elected" president and vice president in person. *g* But the 2000 election really fried me, so much so, I haven't gotten involved with this election-- except for going to see the candidates at rallies and such

Ha ha! I love it. I wish all radio stations did it. Heck, I wish the national media would even do it (instead of just parroting back what they've been told).
Wow. Almost everyone I know online is taking this election very very seriously and when I read "wasting his time" I thought you had to be kidding!
Take it from someone who's living and breathing this election, we have a very real shot at winning. And if I weren't already committed to working the polls here in Indiana, I'd be driving up to Ohio myself. (BTW, it's quite a drive from DC - it takes forever to cross Pennsylvania!)
God, I hope we win. Thank you for taking the time to volunteer. :-))
I think it's easy for us to believe that everyone is taking this election seriously, but I don't think it's the case everywhere. Our friends and family might be taking notice, but I think there are vast mobs out there who are going to vote Republican because they haven't been paying attention for the last four years.

It's been super-cold the last few days; I don't envy those guys one bit.
I think I can get Farscape this weekend. Thank you, SciFi, you re-run happy geeks!
